In his welcome address, the General Manager of G7 Security Systems in the person of Michael Osei-Marfo expressed his gratitude to the staff for their continuous hard work, support, and cooperation in the discharge of their mandates in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to him, the successes that the company has chalked over the years, notably G7 being adjudged the Best Security Company of the Year by the Ghana Business Awards for two consecutive times (2029 and 2020), have come as a result of their collective efforts and commitment.
The durbar is organized annually to give both Management and Staff of the Company an opportunity to interact, share ideas, review targets of the previous year in order to identify and address operational challenges, as well as discuss projections for the ensuing year. The Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Kofi Jakper Kakariba, also advised Managers to be transparent and honest in how they manage contracts, clients and the guards. He cautioned that the attitude and importance that Managers attach to their work were crucial for achieving their set objectives.
Regional Managers took turns to present their Annual Reports, which included a review of their targets of the previous year, contracts won, their concerns and grievances. In his keynote address, Mac-Reuben Kumah (CEO/MD) touched on the topic of Loyalty and Ethical Behavior, whereby he emphasized the need for Managers to be honest, loyal and ethical in the discharge of their duties at all times. In doing so, he added, they must not lose sight of the fact that the client must be given utmost priority at all times. He noted in his closing remarks that, Managers should be open for more engagements at all levels – clients and security guards.
A brief presentation ceremony was also held in honor of the Ashanti Regional Manager, Nana Darko Bosompem, who was adjudged the Best Regional Manager for the year 2020. As part of his awards, he received a citation and an unspecified amount of money to motivate him as well as the other Regional Managers to work hard to achieve their goals in 2021.
